Sanyo was a large abandoned factory in Lowestoft.
Sanyo purchased the Pye factory from Philips in 1982. At its production peak the site employed 350 people and produced around 300,000 televisions a year.
Sanyo ceased production of domestic televisions on the site in 2006 to concentrate on large public info screens. Due to low cost imports the site struggled to be competitive.
At the time of closure in 2009 around 60 employees were made redundant.
Demolition of the site started early in 2014 to make way for a large housing development.
