Pool Park Hospital: UK March 2014
Originally a manor house built in the late 1820s.
Most rooms are lavishly wood panelled and the highlight is the grand oak staircase.
It was acquired by the North Wales Counties Mental Hospital to relieve the overcrowding at the nearby Denbigh hospital. It eventually closed in 1992.
The house was sold in 1992 but despite the Grade ii listing nothing has happened to the building since and it has been left to fall into disrepair.
