This was the largest thermal power station in Belgium. It could be found in Kluisbergen, East Flanders.
Built in 1966 it just housed two generating sets. Within a year there were two more and by 1970 it was expanded to six to keep up with the demand of modern day living.
Internally it looks like it could be fired up into production immediately. I do in fact remember a very large Humming sound coming and going throughout my visit. However I forgot to investigate the sound further. Maybe this was for the best. I loved the symmetry here and did get drawn to it quite a lot as you can see.
The plant ceased operation in 2013 and has since been demolished.
